Education & Service
Kunwar Khushwaqt Rai Balika Inter College,
Lakhimpur has its origin in the year 1971
when Sarojini Gupta established Kunwar
Khushwaqt Rai Shishu Vidyalaya in memory
of her father Kunwar Khushwaqt Rai.
Kunwar Khushwaqt Rai was a freedom fighter
and Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha
from 1957 to 1962. The institution was
established in his memory with the vision
of providing education to the younger
generation.
Initially, the school started with just
5 students in one room.
Over the years, the institution continued
to grow and at one time had more than
4,000 students across the
main campus and three branches.
